Who are we and why "Wings of Praise"?
Our names are Tom and Gail Bush. We embrace the Word of God as truth and direction for our lives. We live to worship! Our faith in Christ has brought us into relationship with many ministries. The Lord has impressed on us that the church needs to recognize and embrace the whole Word of God by celebrating the Feasts of the Lord out in the community to draw the lost into the Kingdom! We participate in a Memorial Day – city wide Pentecost/Shavuot Celebration every year at Waterworks Park in Tampa, FL organized by Oasis of Tampa Bay Church with many churches and faiths represented. It is awesome to see the Body of Christ come together in unity to declare and decree the Word of God over our City, State and Country! We need to become one in Him and with each other!
Together, Tom and Gail handcraft the items and garments carried by Wings of Praise in addition to various ministry works. They are licensed ministers through Lighthouse Gospel Mission Inc. Ministerial Fellowship. Gail holds a Bachelor of Ministry Degree from Faith Theological Seminary and Christian College, Tampa, FL. She was responsible for starting the dance ministry, Wings of Light at Lighthouse Revival Center now Lighthouse Freedom Center, Riverview, FL (www.lfcchurch.org). Gail graduated with a Certification in Liturgical Dance in 2008 from the International Liturgical Dance Academy. In 2008 annual worship conferences were started at the church which we still help organize and coordinate with the current dance ministry leader at the church. Even though we are now in our 70’s that does not stop us from worshiping and going out to minister and equip others to do the same!
We are to become Wings of Praise in everything that we do. The Lord created us to worship Him. It is our desire to see the church allow the Glory of God to fill the earth as we learn to open our hearts, minds, souls, and bodies to worship Him in spirit and truth with everything we have and everything we do. We need to worship him not only with the words of our testimony, but with our tithes and offerings, and with our bodies which is our reasonable service.
Romans 12:1 " I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord! Let us learn not to be concerned with what other people think about what we do for the Lord, but be concerned what the Lord sees and thinks of us.
